Arizona Public Service (APS) and ZappyRide partner on EV Shopper

In November, Arizona Public Service (APS) and ZappyRide announced a collaboration that enables APS customers to make more informed decisions when considering the cost of owning an electric vehicle. This collaboration, which includes a comprehensive cost of ownership tool, will provide customers in APS service territory with access to detailed information on the total cost of owning and running an electric vehicle, taking into consideration current rates applicable to their area.  

The tool is powered by ZappyRide's proprietary technology and offers customers detailed information on the purchase price of an electric vehicle, including any applicable federal, state or local incentives, along with the ongoing operational costs and access to local charging stations. The overall cost is calculated based on the customer's individual utility rate structure. 

This innovative tool allows potential EV owners to make an informed decision about whether owning an electric vehicle works for them financially by taking into account factors such as charging frequency, driving habits and commute distance. Additionally, users can access additional resources from APS such as rebates available for installing Level 2 chargers at home and EV-specific time-of-use electricity plans.
